It seems like some people just have more self control and motivation than others. Is this true?

I feel like I have very little self control. I'd like to learn how to have more. My biggest issue is weight loss. I've tried so many different methods and ultimatly, I fail. Do you think that some people are just 'wired' differently or do you think I could learn this type of self discipline?It seems like some people just have more self control and motivation than others. Is this true?
People are hugely diverse.. think of the spectrum from the over-eaters to point of morbid obeisity (no self discipline) to anorexics (total discipline / control).. We all have different levels of self control and we vary depending on whether we're happy or not.. I think people are designed to be different, it would be very boring if we were all the same.. be that body shape, personality etc. You can try and improve your dietry habits. A lot of who we are comes down to habits we create. chocolate bars after Tesco shop.. pudding after dinner.. fried breakfast.. wine with dinner etc. Have you tried rewarding yourself in other ways and getting comfort from other things e.g getting nails done, pedicure, new outfit? I don't think it's self discipline per se but a re-focus on what makes you feel good that you need. We all want to look like Heidi Klum etc but we can't.. FACT.. Try and just look the best you can for you and I know it sounds corny but the more you beat yourself up the more you'll reach for comfort foods.. Try and love yourself.. self control and motivation are both processes that we learn, and master- some people are much better at it then others, as some people are better at math- mostly with motivation it also has to be something you genuinely want, you aren't going to motivate to something that simply sounds like a good idea, or that really holds no importance to you. You usually will be very motivated to do something if it is of immediate importance to you. Basically when you do find the right motivation you use the right self control to get there.
Self control and motivation can be learnt processes you master over time. Yes, a little bit of the problem can be inherited. Weight loss is a common challenge for all of us. Personally, I think the best way to loose weight is, well, I'd better not say here. Email me.
Yes some people have more self disipline than others but their not wired like that. They get that way through practice or they get used to living that way. All you need is a little more practice and time.
Well of course we're all wired differently.
