My girlfriend is on birth control. We are wondering if it is safe to have sex the day of her taking her first actual pill after her period week while on birth control.





I am not talking 100% safe, im talking birth control pill safe. We still use condoms and everything. We are just wondering if her contraceptive is working at that time or if she is as at risk as if she were not on the pill.Is it safe to have sex right after your period week while on birth control?
As long as she is taking her pill correctly, she is protected the same amount every day of the month. There is no day that is more dangerous. She is even protected on her period week. As long as she follows the directions on the package, yes, it's totally safe. The pill is effective throughout the cycle as long as each pill is taken at the same time every day, period.
