If getting a salary cap or some other form of control meant potentially another strike, would you back it?

I know you haters hate the yankees, when you should be hating the players association and the system created after the last strike.

Some of you want caps or more financial control to stop the Yankees, but it's not the Yankees you should be mad at, it's the collective Players

The Players Association would have forced the Owners to use replacement players if they imposed a cap in 1995. Would you be willing to risk a strike just to stop the Yankees? If getting a salary cap or some other form of control meant potentially another strike, would you back it?
It depends if they actually could get a salary cap, salary floor and more meaningful revenue sharing or at least some of those then I think it would be worth another lockout. But I'd be worried of it ending up like last time where it just damaged the game a lot and nothing actually got accomplished.

It's hard to count on the owners to solve it when a lot of them are part of the problem (I'm not just talking about the Yankees, what the Marlins, for example, do, building up good teams and a fanbase and then dumping their players every few years to cut costs is worse for baseball in my opinion than anything the Yankees have done.)If getting a salary cap or some other form of control meant potentially another strike, would you back it?
I wouldn't want a strike but I don't get why people wouldn't want baseball to be fair unless they are the ones benefiting from it.

Your assistant you don't know very much the Indianssold out every home game in Jacob's Field for the first 7 or 8 years, and 2 of those years 1995 %26amp; 1997 they even went to the World Series. In 1997 even with filling the park and going to the world series they lost 20 mil. It doesn't matter about filling seats small market teams only have so much.

For Yankees fans who talk so much crap and then cry about people picking on them, it's not just you it's all the large market teams, the Yankees are just the worst offenders. That's includes Boston too, and any real large market team, it's just none of them do that every year.
The point of a salary cap isn't to stop the Yankees, it's to give more teams a chance to compete on the same level. The gross salary imbalance among teams in baseball is a joke among major sports. While it might take a strike to get a salary cap for baseball, ultimately it appears baseball competitiveness is getting worse, so it's worth the risk.
NO! My question is why OTHER teams do not get a team together and leverage their money and fill their stands and like the red sox with a 30,000 seat stadium, that is just, really stupid, right? Think about it. The yanks win because that is their goal every single year, to get the best team, to raise the best talent and be a dynasty. I wish other teams would make the yanks honest by doing the same thing. What lets the yanks do it is the UNWILLINGNESS for the owners of the other ballparks to DEVELOPE that dogged desire to win like STEINBRENNER has. Seriously. That guy was serial when it comes to winning. When he took over the yanks were in a terrible situation lucky to win 80 games. So, give credit where it is do and dont hate the player, hate the game the other teams play with their fans by charging them a price for a ticket when they do not do the work to put their team in a position to win.

Also, the yanks had not won for 9 years. So, money does not buy a team as Joba getting 400k and struck out the side and got crucial outs. That is teamwork and that is what they had this year and Girardi making it thru with 3 pitchers.

The yanks were lucky, it had little to do with money.

I like to say how I feel, not like others that tell you what you want to hear and suck up for points. That is principle.

Great question.
Don't ask a question then make assumptions on what my answer will be. I supported the lock out last time and would again. I'm not an idol worshipper like New Yorkers, it's the game I love. If I got to watch a bunch of skabs play ball for a few months then I am prepared to do that because once the players realize that they would be driving a UPS truck if it wasn't for the great game of baseball then there tune will change. How we bring down salaries, bring down the cost of admission, bring down the cost of beer?
just pass by!!

Yes, there needs to be a salary cap. Why watch your team if the other team will buy your best player next year. In football and basketball all teams stand a chance for a championship. In basebalL its narrowed to about 10 teams.
Stop them from what? Another World Series 9 years from now?
