Is it okay to take a pain killer while on birth control?

I just started taking the pill tonight, and I remember reading somewhere a warning about taking NSAIDs while on it.. would it be okay if I take an ibuprofen?Is it okay to take a pain killer while on birth control?
That warning is there because NSAIDS and birth control both have a risk of blood clots... like in your veins, not in your period blood.





You can take ibuprofen, obviously don't OD on it of course. People who have a history of blood clots and are currently on anti-coagulation therapy can take small doses of ibuprofin... so you should be just fine!Is it okay to take a pain killer while on birth control?
